The 3C certification is a mandatory certification in China. The Chinese government, in accordance with relevant agreements of the World Trade Organization and international common rules, implements a product 3C certification mark conformity assessment system to protect the personal safety and the lives and health of animals and plants of the vast number of consumers, protect the environment, and safeguard national security, in accordance with laws and regulations. What are the issues that need attention when applying for 3C certification? Below, ECMG will explain it to you. 

The following are several common problems that may arise during the routine processing of 3C certification: 

When applying, the information was not carefully checked. When the certificate was issued, it was found that the information did not match. This kind of situation usually occurs when issuing both Chinese and English certificates. The common problem that is prone to happen is the incorrect provision of English information. For cases where certificates have already been issued, the only option is to make a change. 

2. The information of key components does not match. This is a problem that often occurs during the factory inspection. It is also caused by not checking carefully. In such cases, it is necessary to request a re-verification. Be more careful when checking to avoid failing the factory inspection. 

3. The provided key component certificates cannot be used. If the key components can provide CCC/CQC certificates during the 3C certification process, a portion of the fees can be waived. When applying for the 3C certification anew, it is essential to ensure that the provided CCC certificate is genuine and within its validity period, and that the certificate can be used normally. Otherwise, if problems such as certificate expiration are discovered halfway through, or other issues arise, only random tests can be conducted as a remedy, which will increase costs and delay the issuance of the certificate. 

4. Issues related to the factory inspection address. The factory inspection address must be based on the actual production location. Even if the business license does not list this address, it is necessary to report it in advance to avoid being rejected by the inspectors. 

5. It's still a factory inspection issue. The 3C factory inspection mainly involves the inspection of the manufacturing process of the products, covering the entire process from raw material input to the production of the complete product. It is worth noting that relevant instruments must provide calibration certificates. Previously, some enterprises failed to provide calibration for the instruments in advance due to a lack of experience, which led to the fact that the inspectors did not approve it.
