Battery safety inspection
Now, each airline has formulated relevant inspection regulations based on the provisions of the International Air Transport Association's "Dangerous Goods Regulations" for products such as radio battery, camera battery, remote control toy battery, etc., which are rechargeable lithium batteries and applicable for transportation either individually or together with equipment. For products containing lithium batteries, the inspection requirements are the "UN 8.3 Clause (referred to as UN38.3 Test)".
IN38.3 Test Product Scope:
Various lead-acid batteries (such as lead-acid batteries for vehicle starting, fixed-type lead-acid batteries, small valve-regulated sealed lead-acid batteries, etc.)
2. Various secondary batteries for power applications (such as batteries for power vehicles, batteries for electric road vehicles, batteries for power tools, batteries for hybrid vehicles, etc.)
3. Various types of mobile phone batteries (such as lithium-ion batteries, lithium-polymer batteries, nickel-metal-hydride batteries, etc.);
4. Various small secondary batteries (such as batteries for laptops, digital cameras, camcorders, various cylindrical batteries, wireless communication batteries, portable DVD batteries, CD and MP3 player batteries, etc.);
5. Various single-use batteries (such as alkaline zinc-manganese batteries, lithium manganese batteries, etc.)
6. For the use or carrying of any of the above battery products, an air or sea transportation appraisal certificate based on UN38.3 must be obtained.
