India releases the fifth list of products subject to mandatory registration under the CRS scheme

On October 1, 2020, the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology of India (MEITY) issued a notice, adding 7 types of products to the mandatory registration and certification list of CRS. Specifically, these include wireless microphones, digital cameras, video cameras, network cameras, smart speakers, LED product dimmers, and Bluetooth speakers. The mandatory implementation period of this batch of product list (the fifth batch) will start 6 months after the official announcement, that is, from April 1, 2021, and will officially come into effect. This means that relevant manufacturers have 6 months to prepare and fulfill the CRS registration requirements.
