2019年3月11日，印度BIS局发布电池电芯产品IS16046:2018版本，新标准的强制日期。

原计划于2018年7月强制的IS16046:2018延期致 2020年3月14日。从2020年3月14日开始，旧的版本IS16046:2015将不再接受申请，BIS局也不再认可实验室出的相关测试报告。

What the manufacturers applying for this need to pay special attention to is that from the old version IS16046:2015 to the new version IS16046:2018, when applying for an update or registration, a new CRS number will be generated. The old CRS number will be automatically cancelled. For terminal devices with batteries or cell terminals, such as mobile phone manufacturers, power banks, or POS machines, etc., they need to complete the update test report for the new standard and the update application for the component list CDF before March 14, 2020, so that the Indian customs can recognize that the terminal products have adopted the latest standard.
