Recently, the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO) published the EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) technical regulations in the official gazette on November 2023. The implementation date is May 17, 2024.

　　This technical regulation will cover all EMC requirements for electrical products except those listed below:

　　Radio equipment and telecommunications terminal equipment

　　Aerial navigation equipment and its spare parts

　　Telecommunication equipment used by amateurs

　　Electronic boards used by experts for research and development purposes

　　Medical equipment

　　The radiation electromagnetic field of the equipment is too low and will not interfere with other electromagnetic fields.

　　The manufacturer can verify whether the product complies with the regulations by using the DoC based on the standards mentioned in the regulations. Once released, it will become an additional requirement that needs to be considered during the approval process.
